The gingham button-down I’m wearing in these photos isn’t prominently displayed or the main focus of the outfit, but I really feel it makes the outfit. It’s just a small pop of gingham at the neckline and wrists, but it works so well and makes the eye work a bit. Every gal (and guy) should have a gingham button-down in her or his wardrobe, to wear alone or underneath a sweater or jacket. I also love these jeans because the vertical pockets on my thighs and the ankle zippers elongate my legs. The ankle zipper creates the illusion that my legs are longer than they are. I do have long legs for someone who is 5’4″, but the fact that the ankle unzips makes the jean extend lower down the leg, thereby elongating my legs even more. So it appears that I’m much taller than I am in these photos. Of course, the 4-inch heels help with that, too. ;) Finish off the look with a cool newsboy cap and fringe purse (because, well, newsboy caps and fringe never go out of style!).
